The Legal Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while providing effective legal support to the company’s operations. This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Law with at least 12 years of relevant experience, including 3–6 years in a managerial role, strong legal drafting and analytical skills, and the ability to manage legal risks. The Legal Manager will oversee legal documentation, licensing, compliance matters, and lead the legal team to support business needs effectively.
* Ensure all company business activities are conducted in compliance with prevailing laws and regulations
* Draft, review, and manage day to day legal documents, agreements, and correspondence accurately and in a timely manner
* Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential legal risks to protect the company’s interests
* Ensure proper management and compliance of company licenses, permits, and legal documentation
* Conduct legal research and provide interpretation of laws, statutes, and regulations relevant to business operations
* Monitor, guide, and supervise Legal Officers and legal staff to ensure effective legal support across the organization
* Bachelor’s Degree in Law
* Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, with 3–6 years in a managerial role, preferably in a law firm, retail, or similar industries.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and legal writing skills
* Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities
* Ability to work independently as well as lead a legal team
